  • Got the RF900 shock in!

Hi all, Well I got the shock on tuesday and installed it today. I almost trashed it! I mounted the reservoir on the sub frame but when I installed the rear side cover, it push the reservoir hose in a little. On the test ride I heard a rubbing sound but being on the freeway, I could not get back for a mile or so. The F-ing chain cut into the line(a darwin moment). I changed the location but I still have a gash in the line(but no leak).

When I was a kid, I could ride a brick and make it handle good! Now that I'm back on a bike(after 6 years), I'd like to ride more like an adult! You know, like having good tires and dialed in suspension.

I really dont know where to start? Right now, I've got it to where if I hold the front brake and sit on the bike, the front and rear come down even about 1-3/4". Is this a good starting point?

    Thanks.

First step is to set the "static sag" , which requires some friends . You aim for a sag of 32-35mm . I'd like to do this one day myself .
I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !
