does anyone recommend any sites that sell them NEW? Also, the reason I am buying one is im told by 3 other experienced riders that rode my bike, all tell me its WAY too soft and it feels blown. With a passenger, it sags ALOT. Also, any cross-wind or wetness, the rear does feel VERY loose. Would this be a sign of needing a new shock? There is 33k miles on the bike, original equipment.

Another possibility is to have one rebuild.
A third is get a new aftermarket one like a Penski or an Ohlins..
The third option is in the $500-$600 range.

Hey if you want 1970's suspension technology go for it!
You have to be careful with OBB.. I think those are for the old Kat..

Interesting that it's on the "model fitment" section... I wouldn't expect the old style shock to interchange for the more modern mono shock.-Steve

try hagon if you can get them over there good for a standard replacement ,but if you want something special then get a b12 shock or the busa and then it would be much better for two up riding ,
and you say the back feels loose is it the bearings in the wheel or swingarm or maybe the lower linkage ,sorry i mean lever cushion if theres alot of play in that then the shock wont move correctly
i know that hagon do a replcement for the 750 which is the same model shock that is the bandit 1200 shock replacement, see if theres any play in the rear bearings as this will make it loose at the back
