Hey guys. My sppedo stopped working on my 2000 750. I have replaced the speed sensor with a new one, and replaced the gauge cluster with a known good one with no luck. Everything except the speedo is working fine. I don't see any broken or frayed wires. I don't know if there is a short somewhere and don't want to pay a shop $100 an hour to troubleshoot an older bike. Can I convert to an old style cable actuated speedo and leave in the existing gauge cluster? Is the wiring on the old style complicated? Any paperwork for the Motor Vehicle Department involved? Thanks for any help you guys have. If you have done this swap pictures would help. Thanks guys!
