  • Bad Brake at 6600 miles!!!

I have worked on numerous of bikes in my day, but when i bought my new Katana.the rear brake was down to the metal on the pads and making its way to ruining the disk. is this a katana thing or misuse, options are welcome. by the way it is a 03 black 750.

Well, by my best estimate, the previous rider didnt distribute braking responsibilities even, nor did the previous owner of my kat. Spreading the braking responsibility evenly is not always an option, (e.g. tapping the rear to settle the suspension down before entering a curve) , but if the previous owner didnt use the front as much as the rear or visa/versa then you could have this problem. Also, not using the gears to slow down has affects on the brake wear also...
