  • NEVER scrub a chain again

    FLUID FILM ...

    thats all u need folks.
when the time comes to clean your chain simply spray it down with fluid film then take it for a good ride and let it sit on there a day or two. (its a great lube too)

Then simply wipe it off with a rag. It comes out like new.

Ive been using this for the past 8-9 months. And I love it. No more scrubbing and washing chains etc etc. A customer turn me onto this stuff last year while restoring a 73 Hinda scrambler. I was amazed at how well it works for cleaning/detailing, rust removal, rust prevention and restoring paint color.

I had a chain swap to do on a customers vulcan... he brought it in for a tire change and ordered a chain/sprockets. I sprayed the chain down because it was GUNKED up bad. Today before I removed it I wiped it off and it came out like new. It made it a lot nicer to handle during the swap for sure.

      From that website...

Fluid Film is manufactured using an all-natural lanolin base. Lanolin is of animal origins, extracted from the wool of sheep, which use it as a waterproofing wax to aid in shedding water from their coats. It has been used for centuries for its medicinal and rust-preventive properties.
Well, I'm pretty sure as soon as the Badfaerie sees this, there is gonna be an order or 2 placed...

the point is no more chain scrubbing....
just wipe it with a rag

Kerosene is what ive always used to, but it takes time and its smelly and messy. ive always had to scrub with a tooth brush then rinse it all down, dry and relube etc.

With this stuff you spray on and ride.

between cleanings i use Belray superclean chain lube.

I'll try anything once, but you might look at ebay. Fluid Film's site wants 11.95 a can and ANOTHER 11.95 to ship two cans! Dang, no dealers I can find near Albuquerque....
