modded my levers!

so i decided that my ugly scuffed up silver lever had to go so instead of buying new ones i just striped the protective coating of and sanded and sanded and sanded and polished them tell me what you think. ps they look scratched up in the pic but they really do look nice ill try to take a better one tomarrow.

I neutered both my levers.. (cut the balls off)

In fact my clutch lever is cut extra short so I can use two fingers to pull in the lever and the other two fingers can stay on the bar..

black peter thats what i was thinkin cause i only use two fingers two because my first bike gs500 the lady put it down on both side and the levers were bent and could only get two fingers on so i just got used to it

I run mine with no balls on the clutch
I can still see scratches...
A proper polishing job will leave them flawless and scratch free.
wet sand it with 2000-25000 until its perfectly smooth and then polish it.

I said no, but it doesn't have the don't care option...I have thought of this, but at the same time I bought the "liquid rubber" (you know the stuff on some plyers and crescent wrenches- comes in a few colors) I got black to dip mine in....I figured I'd do a few tools too. So I'm up in the air with cutting them or not,,,I just don't know.

As Anouka said they do serve a purpose. They absorb impact from a fall and will snap off or deform to keep from breaking the entire lever off so you can still ride home. I wouldn't cut them off personally. Anouka congrats for being great lookin' and smart too.

That may be the INTENDED purpose , but it don't always work that way . I carry spare levers in my bags just in case . They been in there since they was given to me like 4 or 5 years ago .
