  • "new" rear boinger

I snuck out of work early today to get a little wrenching done. I've been putting off working on the bike lately since the weather has been outstanding. Been collecting parts for a few months....'08 R6 shock is the start of the madness....new fork springs and emulators this weekend....maybe.

Gotta love updated suspension, if done right you will notice a huge difference in ride quality.

That must be a technical term.

Well.....after taking the bike for a ride (beyond the neighborhood) and making a few adjustments I can honestly say the upgrade was well worth doing. I can't wait to get the forks done up now.

I have the 1.0kg set from Racetech....along with emulators. I haven't had the time lately to tear into the front end,but if it improves as much as the rear did, I will be more than happy with this old bike.

                        +1

I did my shock first. Felt like a while new bike cornering. A year later did the front suspension. Again, felt like a whole new bike. Amazing difference from doing either. Bike handles better than my buddies SV650 (ok, not saying much as that's another budgetish bike) and almost as well as another buddies FZ-09 (a waaaaaay lighter bike...)

It's no supersport. But it's one hell of a difference.
