  • 93 gsx750 f air filters

Just picked up a 93 katana 750 cant get the stock air box back on and was looking to upgrade to air pods of some sort. I cant seem to find the right size. Does any one know if this is even a good idea as I'm sure I will need to install at least a stage 1 or even 2 jet kit in the carbs. any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum! You should re-post in the mechanics section. You may get a better response there.

Why can't you get the airbox back on? I have the same bike and mine goes on and off.

          Stock Air Box

Air box was off when I got the bike. It has been off for some time and seems to have warped from something sitting on it.

or buy a used one. You need the airbox to run it the most efficiently.

K&N OUCH!!! K&N's are not the best choice for these bikes, im sure the K&N Filter Killer will be along shortly to explain why....

you should do a search on how k&n filters are bad for katanas. pod filters will cause your 2&3 cylinders to run rich because of the aerodynamic effect while the 1 &4 will run fine. When you have a sealed airbox, all 4 cylinders recieve the same amount of airflow making all 4 run more efficiently instead of 2 strong and 2 weak. http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.p...ight=airfilter
