    The other month i opted to replace the suspension on my kat 750 K3 with 40K on the clock as the handling was rubbish to say the least.

    The front end was a pretty easy job if not a little time consuming with having to take all the fairing off to get to everything but in all probably took me about 2 hrs from start to finish. Using hagons recommend settings of 5wt oil and a 140 air gap i have the forks compression set to 3rd hardest and the front end feels great.

    When the monoshock arrived shorlty afterwards i set to work on it, it's a much easier job to do without the need to remove any body work but it would help access to the top bolt if you did, but i got by fine with just removing the footpegs and putting a car jack under the swing arm to help with lining parts up.

    I've attached pictures of the old and new shock, as you can see the old shock gave up a long time ago, there was even a hole in the piston body. I'm still playing with setting for the Hagon shock, i've found as per their settings it feels to soft, so far i've tried +1/4 turn compression/rebound and 1 turn of preload and although the bike is holding nicely the ride is a bit rough, although Hagon suggest preload be done in increments of full turns i'm going to reduce it to only +1/2 a turn and go from there, the only thing i dislike about the Hagon unit and this really is being picky is they use a gurb screw to secure the adjuster ring so at certain points in rotation it is extremely hard to get to.

    But all in all i've had fantastic service and i would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

    Thank you, I have had the Hagon shock on my list for the 1100 for some time. I didnt want to splash out some £400 until I had some idea of how good the kit was.
    Looks like I will be ordering one to replacce the knackered stock Suzuki unit.

      kev i'm still playing with settings on the rear end, if you adjust your preload alot i'd opt for remote preload option, the c spanner they supply does the job but i found myself using an extension on it as it doesn't quite have enough leverage for easy adjustment in a already cramped area.

      as for quailty it is great for the price and the service is brilliant, i was told at the time of order my shock was on a 5 week back order to be made, but they had it in my hands within a week.

        I put a Hagon rear shock on my 1100 a few months ago and love it, well worth the money, now I need to sort out the front forks.

          Thanks guys, I think its the one I will go with. I was quoted £250 to havethe old Suzuki shock re-built, £1300 for a new old stock Suzuki shock and a small mortgage for an Ohlins. With that all in mind the price Hagon quote is a good choice.
          I think while im at it I will order a set of Hagon springs for the front forks, mine arnt bad but have lost a bit on the stock length.
          Have any of you tried the EBC front disks? Mine are getting a bit thion and with the best will in the world wont wear a skim in the lathe.

                thats not a bad price.

                he lives in the UK so he has to ship his shock internationally or buy a used in in the US. price 50-100 bucks.
                new spring 100bucks
                other replacement parts and labor. 200 bucks.
                then tmod has to ship it to the UK which means another $77.95 usps large international flatrate box.

                so we end up with it costing more.

                now if tmod makes better custom shocks to your needs I have no doubt.

                but for a quick fix this is actually kind of nice.
