same paint 2 diffrent colors?

My bother painted most of my 02 750 kat i finsihed the fender only.

Problem is his paint job was a light blue while mine was a darker blue.

i used the same products from the same cans as he used.

what could of caused this?
I did use a deffrent air compressor.

Could it be the mixing of the thiner and hardener?

Could be the mixing, the pressure is was sprayed, the type of gun used, curing time, prep work such as the color of the primer or the amount of reducer used. It tough to match it perfectly if doing different pieces at different times and they make a bunch of alternatives of different shades for each color to correct for this.
