  • Electrical problem...

I have a 1999 Katana...love it...when it runs. The problem is when I turn the key sometimes everything is normal, other times I turn the key and have no electrical power at all. When I have no electrical power if I turn the key on and off over and over, eventually it will work like normal and I will have power again. Any ideas?

Ignition switch is bad, or a poor harness connection somewhere.

Thanks for the help, I thought it may be the ignition but didn't want to buy one if it was not the problem.

        Always test before replace...

Simple volt meter will tell you if power is going in and out correctly.
