Hey guys, I just recently bought a 1988 Kat and I need help with testing the CDI box. Is there a definitive test to let me know if the CDI box is functional? And where is the CDI box located? Any answers/help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

It would take specialized equipment to test the Ignition control module.
The most common practice is to replace with a known good one as the test.
It's located on the side of the battery box under the side tail plastics.
What symptoms are you experiencing to point towards the ICM as being bad?
