it happens all the time that keys and titles are lost. I bought and resold a couple of bikes like that. it takes all of a day to have the vin number run to see if it is stolen or not. this guy clearly posted the vin number, so I doubt it is hot......unless he is extremely stupid.

I can understand being a bit paranoid because a bit of paranoia is always good to have, but in this case me thinks you are losing out on a good deal for nothing.
