  • Hello I'm New First Bike owner/First Kat owner

    Hello my names Robert Bowers II, Im from Bristol TN. (yes that Bristol for you nascar fans and yes I've been to the races)

    I am Ex Navy I served Proudly for four years, Wanted to make it a career but was Forced Honorable Dischaged when the President decided to cut sailors in early 09.

    Just bought my First bike wanted a Kat for years. Ive Been on bikes for a couple years, just not an owner.


    According to the PO she has
    Yoshie Pipe (true)
    K&N filters(true but NASTY) CLEANED
    Jet kits(unconfirmed)
    I bought it Sunday 19FEB2012 took it for tune up 24FEB2012

        Welcome. Now get rid of that K&N, go back to a stock filter and see just how sweet that thing can run.

            Thanks guys

            @WB Ive already read in Mech 101 where a Guy was having Issues and 3/4 of the first page told him to get the stock box and get ride of the K&N so I figured that would come up. Im on it LOL

                          Here at the shop, they say I've got a bad/clogged #4pilot jet. What kind of trouble am I looking at as far as fixing it?

                            Well...... Won't have it back till Tuesday.... But the #4 problem will be fixed.

                            Oil changed new plugs filters chain adjusted and lubed cam chain adjusted #4 pilot jet fixed clutch adjusted new fuel lines and vac hoses carb sync $396
