  • Anyone give me info on these wheels?

    What Katana came with these wheels and what sizes are they?I am told they are 18 inch diameter.What are the widths and rotor sizes?TIA

    They are 1988 katana wheels which are 17", gsxr wheels are simular but straight spokes.

      If they are kat wheels, they would be year 88s only. 89+ was the 3 spokes.

      Also, if they are kat wheels... they would be 17" rims, front was 2.75", and the rear I believe was 3".

      But, they could also be wheels from another bike. If they are indeed 18" rims, then they are probably off an earlier model GSXR.

        Look for some markings cast into the rims. Should read something along the lines of "J17XMT2.75 DOT" or "J17XMT3.00 DOT" (If they're 88 Katana rims.)

          Thanks guys.I am trying to get better pics before I make an offer.I just dunno what tires I would run on a 2.50 front and 3.0 rear.I was considering them for a project bike but they may be outta the equation.

            The guy got back in contact with me.You guys are right on.17x2.5 and 17x3.0.I think I'll stick with the swept 3 spoke pre or straight 3 spoke post.
