  • How to: Adjust your rear brake lever engagement zone

    Remove the heel kick plate on the right side of the bike.
    Locate the rear brake cylinder (see image below - oblong silverish-gray thing). Locate the three nuts on it.
    Loosen nut A (shown in red).
    Rotate nut B (shown in green) to change the engagement zone up or down.
    Retighten nut A.
    Reinstall the heel kick plate.



    Note that loctite should be used when reattaching the heel kick plate, as it can vibrate off (see the rust spot close to my brake foot-lever mounting spline -- that was due to losing a heel kickplate bolt last year on the way to the rally and the plate vibrating against the frame).
