  • Down one cylinder

It looks like number two is not firing, its the only exhaust pipe thats cool after a 10min ride around town. Its a 95 750. When I bought it a few months ago it had a rusted out tank and carbs were nasty. Pulled everything apart soaked all jets and ran coper wire into every one one them and the emulsion tubes. Sprayed everything else down and blew out with compressed air. Replaced slide orings and a/f mix screw orings. Its a stage 3 kit from dynojet and has pod filters. I can get it to idle at about 1800 any lower and it wants to die. It has power all the way up to redline so I dont know if its just not firing at a low rpms. Also changed plugs and made sure it has spark.

Fix your rusty tank, clean your carbs again, for starters.

You ran copper wire through brass jets...what?

Used kreem to fix that issue. Also pulled carbs apart a few times, even switched around pilot jets, and I unbraided some speaker wire figuring that would be soft enough to not damage the brass

Blow air thru the pilot circuit with the a/f screws out?

Air should come right out the transition ports right?

What are transition ports? I was just asking because most people don't even take the a/f screws out. Did this bike ever run correctly for you?

You might want to revert back to stock jetting and air box then, many problems with stage 3 kits and pods.

If it's one cylinder that won't fire, it's probably a plug wire connection issue. Check the plug boot and wire are in good shape, clip the wire back 1/2" and reconnect it well on the boot (screws on).

carbs are way out of sync. Turned the screw a little and the header pipe warmed right up. Guess I have to go to home depot and make myself a sync tool
