  • Hey guys need a bit of advice

I know the prime setting is between on and reserve on my fuel tap but which is which.
Never ran out of gas before but keep forgetting to find out.

Thought it would be easier to ask.
    Be cool.

    Sitting on the bike:

    PRIME pointing to you.
(Rotated counter clockwise looking from the side facing fuel cock.)

    ON pointing to the ground
    (mid position)

    RES: pointing to the front
    (rotated clockwise looking form side)

    To review:
    turn away for res.
    turn to middle for on
    turn toward you prime.

actually it would have been easier to use the search..

With knob pointing to the front of the bike is RES, pointing strait down is on, and pointing to the rear of the bike is Prime.

I took those decals off my Kat a long time ago - they are an eyesore. The way I always remember that pointing the arrow forward is reserve is that if I'm low on gas and I want to continue moving forward, point the arrow forward Honest, that's how I remember.

I know the on position is down because that's where the arrow always is. The arrow pointing towards you has to be prime because we're all in our prime, right

Heck, silly things like the above is what got me through school
