Arai replacement parts. help!

Just was given a Arai rx7rr4 helmet from an old buddy. Bought the online replacement parts. Cheeks, neck pad and the interior lineing. But the interior lineing dosen't look anything like whats in the helmate. The helmet is a 1997 model. i dont know what model the replscement parts are for, and it didn't ask when i orderedthe parts. The cheeks fit fine and the neck pad just needs secured.
has anyone else had this type of situation before, or might be familiar with what I have discribed.

Dude, you know helmets need to be replaced every five years right? I highly doubt that helmet will provide much protection if any. A new HJC would be better than what you have now, probably even a Vega.


P.S. Please get a new damn helmet.

Thanks for the info. I will return the replacement parts for refund. Why do you say HJC vs. Aria. is that a personnel preferance.

Dude I have an Arai RX-7 Corsair and I LOVE it. My point was a 10 year old helmet is worth crap. Like I said, they need to be replaced EVERY five years.

Arai all the way if you can afford it. Far better quality than HJC. More features too.

I just didn't want you using a helmet that would not protect you, that's all man.

I have a rx7 my self, Payed too much for it but i like it. I wanted a good one for the wife. not this one. lets not tell the wife. i'll get her a new one, she can pick it out.

No problem man. Just looking out for a fellow rider. She'll probably be happier picking out a new one anyway. (another excuse for her to go shopping Like they need more reasons)


P.S. Yes, the RX-7 kicks ass. I paid too much too, but who cares? We're happy, and that's all that matters.
