anybody tried one of those little sensor things that mount under the bike to trigger the green light magnetic sensors? saw one on ebay. wondering if they really work.

Personally I only have a problem at one light here in Austin,,
(A) That the Kats have a steel perimeter frame, so if the area uses magnetic sensors, it should already be tripping it;
(B) That many municipalities don't use magnetic sensors (there's a good discussion on other sensor types in the previous GreenLight Trigger thread); AND
(C) How to trip these other kinds of sensors most readily.
That said, for those going the magnet route, I would suggest specifically seeking a magnet with a very strong 18" magnetic field (enough to penetrate 6" of ground from the mounting point) and a high temp resistance to demagnetization. The most common forms of magnets lose their magnetic field strength at the temps they would be exposed to next to the oil pan at a stop-sign on a hot Kat (temporary strength loss due to temp), and with really hot temps (ones conceivable on a Kat in a traffic jam) could permanently demagnetize.
