    What is the difference in the workshop manual and the factory repair manual?

    Workshop manual? I didn't know that Suzuki makes a "Workshop" manual, so the answer is probably just that -- it's aftermarket, written by someone else. Aftermarket manuals will have primarily pictures (as verses to drawings), and if it's published by a British firm (as most are), it may have British-specific variations consider as "standard" (such country variations are rare, but do occassionally crop up).

    The Suzuki manual is the one they produce for Suzuki authorized dealers and you can buy for yourself. It's the bible and has every bit of information you can want, and highly correct technical drawings, but no pictures.

    Cheers

      The one 'zuki sent me is about 2/3 drawings and 1/3 pics...

      /kiba
      find / -name "*your base*" -exec chown us:us {} \;

      If you can't make it fit with a sledge hammer, don't force it!

          Example page 3E-2:

          /kiba
          find / -name "*your base*" -exec chown us:us {} \;

            Interesting. I have the 98 Kat 600 manual with some of the follow-on years as addendums, but virtually no pictures.

            Cheers,

              This is the reason I'm Asking:
              1. Shop Service Repair Manual Suzuki Motorcycle by Clymers
              2. Genuine Suzuki Katana GSX600F Service Shop Manual
              3. Suzuki GSX600F Factory Service Manual
              4. Suzuki GSX600F GSX750 GSX750F WorkShop Manual
              5. SUZUKI GSX GSX600F GSX750 GSX750F service manual
              Which one should I get, they all cover my year '99, but different prices. I just want to fix my bike not start a book store crusade on Suzuki's.

                Go to RonAyers.com and get a price on suzuki part number 99500-35072-03E or whatever supercedes it. That's what you're looking for.
                Or PM TDRcom and see if he'll burn you a CD of the contents. Or give an FTP location that can handle a 126 Mb transfer, and I'll forward the same to you.

                Cheers

                  You can not go wrong buying the Suzuki Official Manual. Like cyber said the other aftermarket manuals aren't always correct nor do they have all the info you will want for your bike.
