Electrical problem

So I wired most everything up today and I decided to hook up the battery and see if anything works......Well turn signals wouldnt come up....so I try hooking up the headlight....no dice either...then im like well lets hook up the starter wire and see if it atleast turns over. So I touch the starter wire to the positive terminal and it starts turning over......WITHOUT ME TOUCHING THE START BUTTON!! WTFFF???? so I take it off and try a couple more times and the same thing. I notice that it started to melt the terminal where I was touching the wire. WTF?? Anyone have any help??

You touched the starter wire to the positive term of the battery? Dude what else should it do?

Now if you touched it to the starter relay, you have a short..
