teknic soft bags

Anybody got them on their Kat? My relatively new KAt (2000-750) came with a set of teknics soft bags. I mounted them tonight, and not sure if i have them the correct direction or not....the tapered, thin side is towards the rear (matches the lines of the bike), but the front seems to interfere with the rear passenger knee position.

anybody got any ideas?

Figured them out. They work great. Actually, I moved the saddlebags back as far as I could (about 5 more inches than shown in the following photos). My wife and I did 200 miles yesterday.....excellent!
