      Stock 2000 Katana 600
      135 mph and then the governor/rev limiter kicked in.
      On what used to be vacant area along Hunt Hwy near Florence AZ.
      I try not to ride like that on the streets anymore.

      Best time on the quartermile track
      13.461s
      101.5 MPH

      I haven't been since I have made my first mod... Dropping a tooth on the front sprocket.

          I did 275kph (indicated) on my '96 GSXR750 once trying to keep up with my buddies on an R1, ZX-9R and a 'Busa! I had about enough right then and rolled out of it! Oh, 275 is about 169 mph for those of you in the imperial system...
          Less weight is more power!!

                140-145mph on mine, guesstimate.
                Haven't gone that fast in over ten years.

                I have read ones like mine will do 156-172mph.
                I don't know how fast my bike goes, I've never stopped to find out.

                  I can vouch for the "I have read..." ones. My 92 and 93 1100's both register 280kph in the speedo. With the 92 I passed the 280 mark on a very long and straight downhill grade with +1 sprocket change on the front.
                  With the 93 with stock gearing I could only get 270kph.

                  280kph = 168mph ( i was slight past that...indicated)
                  270kph = 162mph.

                  I have mixed feeling when it comes to this question. Part of me likes the bragging rights, and the other part of me is tired of hearing, "you're full of shit" or "you're f'in insane". My answer to both those remarks is always the same...."hop on the back and let me show you...cuz you sure as hell aint going to follow me on that thing with those tiny testicles you're packing".
                  I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
