  • A Kat in Yellowstone

I finally made the trip to Yellowstone on the bike. It is only 170 miles away and it has taken me 4 years to finally take a day trip and go. Here a few pics from the trip.

    The Tetons in the background.

    Norris Basin

Not sure of this geyser, it went off while waiting for Old Faithful. I think it is beehive geyser

Did you stop and look at the Bison, maybe pet one of the bulls?
How 'bought a momma bear and cubs, they look friendly too.
Looks like a nice ride, your bike too.

That's as close as I get to the Bison. I am usually the one sitting back waiting with video camera in hand waiting for the other idiots to see how close they can get with their selfie sticks, and then get the video that the NPS can put on the their website showing how stupid people can be! Although the minivans from Utah driving through the park are more dangerous than playing matador with wild animals I think.

Nice picks. So, was the traffic backed up because of the bison, or was it just that crowded?

That part of the park was backed up by the looney loo's. There were more people in the park overall than I am used to, but not too horrible.

What a memory, a place I've always wanted to go since I was a kid. Not likely as I live in the UK and gone sixty! Nice pics, thanks.

BTW what make are those soft panniers? My bike has the u brackets removed for a hugger and sports soft luggage would be ideal.
