  • Chain tool recommendations

Those of you that do or have done your own chain installs, can you recommend a brand of chain tool for purchase?
Also, I'm assuming from reading other threads that the stock chain size on the 98+ 750's is 530.
    Any input is appreciated.

I was going to ask the same question. I have found RK three from $49.95 to 120. Is there a difference in the three? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...link:middle:us

I was looking this chain and sprocket kit http://www.motorcycleproshop.com/det..._id=RK3074980W too.

I own the Rk chain tool, Well worth the investment. I think it was around 120 for the set I got, but could be wrong, would have to check my records.
If its not broke, Hit it with a bigger hammer and blame it on cheap imports

The price looks right for both of your listings. I'd say go for it!

Im just looking at using it once every couple years. Im still on my factory chain with 18,000 miles for 2.5yrs so hopefully with a bit more care for the new chain maybe longer.

I got your solution right here. $23 (+ shipping), presses on side-plates and it will mushroom the pins. Driven by a 19mm socket or box-wrench.

It's not a fancy tool designed to cut chains (use a dremel!) -- all it does is the one task, but it does it extremely well, and that's assemble chains. Picked up a pile of them just for us KR guys... PM me if you want one. Comes with case (not shown)

                  Cheers,
