    Wouldn't that work?

Yeah but if one led would burn out they all would go out if there connected in a series

        Good write-up!

Here's another site for LED sourcing that I've used in the past. I plan on upgrading my bulbs in the very near future. You can never have too many lights!

          leds

i just finished converting my tail light and rear turn signals to LED, i didnt use the resistors because i also dont mind the rapid flashing, will this harm the LED? thanks

            No..
Unless you mean you didn;t use ANY
resistors.. but then they would have burned out
right away.. (or after a few flashes..)

            Rapid flashing does no harm

I just skipped putting on the extras that slow the flash, they work great,
              thanks for the reply

not enough resistance i would guess, the flasher thinks that there is a bulb burned out or missing. you need to get some load resistors or a heavy duty flasher or something. check out super bright led's website.

LED's don't draw enough power to trigger a standard flasher unit. Your favorite autoparts store should have an LED flasher unit for about $20. Just replace that and you should be ready to go!
