  • 750 with 600 Bars?

So, my co-instructor and co-rider at the tech school I teach at looked at my 99 Kat 750 and mentioned that the bars seem to be lower than normal. He suggested that someone had switched em out for 600 bars.

How can I be sure? what is rise of 750 bars? 600? interchangable? Anybody wanna trade?

It's very easy to tell. The 750 riser plate passes across the entire top of the triple-tree (with holes for the forks), and has four bolts through it. The 600 bars have individual risers on each side. Take a pic and we'll tell you definitively.

    Here's a pic of my 600 triple-tree (and hyper-cool oil temp gauge):

Contact Braada JIm, through this forum.
He's got alot of that kind of inventory from working on Kats for the last several years.

I'll bet he could fix you up for about $50.00.

I have a 750 top tree and "riser".
I have nearly all the hardware needed to mount them up:
I think 1 or 2 of the screws went missing.
The bars went off to another member.

The 750 top tree will bolt right up.
You need the longer stem screw (I have that)
This is what it looks like (with out riser)

I have to attach the stock version
