  • Bandit 1200 headers?

Hello! Will the header from a 1200 bandit fit on a 1127 Kat?!?!

Not sure about the 1100, I've done them on both 600 and 750 engines. Never an 1127 though. One of the 1100 guys will chime in about oil pan clearance.

well I think i read some where that U can use the GSXR1100 headers on a bandit motor, so... I am assuming it works vise versa...

The Bandit 1200 headers don't quite make the bend around the 1100 oil pan. I tried. I even dented in the top of the collector a little and it still wouldn't quite make it. I was going to have to dent in the collector a whole bunch to make it fit so I gave up and sold the headers to someone with a 600/750 before I went too far with beating up the thing. Fit their bike great. My stockers will work for me a while longer.

No. It doesn't. The GSXR1100 headers will make the bend around the oil pan but the Bandit headers aren't as tall.

You can swap out the oil pan and pick up, same as you would going from a pre set up to a post.

An oxy torch to make the pipes cherry red will allow for some minor "angle adjustments" on those bends as well to help make clearance issues .... less of an issue.
