The first two tanks I put in my '06 were 91. This was at the recommendation from the nice man who sold me the bike, as he pointed to a open barrel of gas in the dealer lot and said "That's the shit we put in there, buy the best fuel you can for the first few tanks. I once saw a person ride out on a brand new V-Star that was backfiring constantly"
