No...not stolen. Sideswiped. I was riding with a friend tonight, and long story short version is, I was leading (she was behind and to my right). I signaled right, she didn't see it. I just started my turn, and she sideswiped me (aprox 30mph). Not much damage to either bike. I got a scratch on my main right side fairing, and a small crack in my signal lens. My front fender did get a wee bit bit bent when I came to a stop against a jeep that was about to pull out of the road I was turning on to. No damage to the jeep (I hit his rear driver side wheel with my front tire).
Her bike (07 SV650) lost a left side forward foot peg, and got a 1 inch crack in the tail fairing, along with some scratches.
I checked my front wheel and forks. All is good with them.
Her bike is in my garage, and I'm gonna get her a new footpeg. Ideas on where to get one overnighted, or 2nd day aired to me?
Good news is we both controlled our bikes, and stayed upright. We both rode away. I wasn't wearing a helmet (as usual) and did come close to chewing on the jeep. But all is well. Oh and...that's two. One more wreck without my helmet, and I get a set of steak knives.
