  • "Freewheel" rims for 2001 Katana

I'm looking for a special type of rim for my 2001 Katana 600. I'm not sure what they're called on motorcycles, but growing up you had either spokes or freewheels which were plastic and I always went with freewheels Pretty sure I saw a kat around my year with them on, but forgot what section it was in after doing searches/browsing for more info on them. I believe the pre-98 kats use them, but they prob won't fit?

I'm getting my bike looked at on Monday because I just bought it (first bike by the way) and am not sure how well the guy mantained it. It's 2001 with only 1860 miles, but he showed me the insurance cards for every year so I'm guessing he rode it at least a couple times a year. I have some Pilot Road II's on the way so I figured I'd take care of the rims at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Just to clarify, I know the Katana has these type of rims already, but the "spokes" are straight and boring.

Ok, so I did some more searching and found a thread that said the 96-99 Bandit wheels should fit the 06 Katana. Wiki says the 98-06 Katanas are all the same model so the Bandit wheels should fit mine. I'm gonna start looking for a pair. If not please correct me!

Hmm anybody know a place to get these besides ebay? I only saw a pair of chrome ones for $500, and I want to get them painted yellow so that'd be a waste.
