$1 mod. what size tube?

im looking for the proper diameter of tube size for the pvc pipe for the $1 mod. (the fork tube spacer made out of pvc)


what is the diameter, and what should they be for length? im looking for +1" on stock 98 forks. thanks!

For my pre 98, I used 1 1/4 in. outer diameter PVC. I cut mine 8 3/4 in. long. Makes a major difference in how the bike feels and rides. I cut mine on my compound miter saw, so I knew the ends were clean and square. I took some emery cloth to the ends to be sure, and washed and dried the pieces to make sure there was no PVC sawdust on them, and installed. I can't get over the improvement in ride and performance.
