Also having trouble finding out what plugs to use in this bike.

Some sites says D8EA, others DR8ES, but DR8ES is not made anymore, its DR8ESL which is really DR7.5ES.

Any advice?

Thanks, it doesnt say it fits this bike, but I guess it does without issue. Is there a performance difference? I would expect going from a twin exhaust system to a single to be more restrictive?

Also, look what I found... nothing for GS750S or GSX750S on ebay.ca or .com but go over to Europe and use the code GR71A... and you get:

Hmm, there a few options that "might" work for the bike. It looks like this one has a slight bend in it.

Any guesses if its part # V12001 or V12005? I don't see one listed for this bike in specific, since it was never brought into the US.

Well still undecided on what pipe to try to work with...

But the gas tank experiement has begun, we start out with this:



Add a cup of this (sodium carbonate): (you can by this stuff as Sodium BIcarbonate too)


Take a 10" steel pin and a paint cap, vented, to make this:


Add some duct tape so that it won't touch the sides (like the old game operation). I also installed a plastic rim in the gas tank as an added safety precaution. There will be Hydrogen in the top with this setup. Better to be a little extra safe. I also added some super magnets to pull the crap out of the water. They were kicking around so I added them into the experiment. They are the NeoDynium (sp?) type.

This is your end result. Note the since my welder was 24V AC I had to use my battery charger... since it is a DC pulse charger I had to throw a battery across it in parrelle so the voltage wasn't spiking up to 30V and down to 0V repeatedly.


After an hour this is what it looked like:

Well... as for the gas tank, I finished today and sealed it. The electroylsis worked WONDERS. Here some shots:

Basically there was NO rust whatsoever inside. I used alot of sodium carb... hehe. At the end of the process I used the POR-15 kit. No pics, was too intense busy, dirty etc. I will have pics of the finished product soon though.

The electrolysis worked wonders though... I didnt really have to POR-15... but I bought so might as well use it. From dirty/rusty to like new! Thanks Katrider!

EDIT: Forgot to add at the end of the process I ran a magnet through the tank on a stick, and picked up some straggling rust... dust? As I was rinsing it with water I was using the magnet to collect the crap there was still alot of particles washing out, I think it is a GOOD idea to put a magnet at the bottom of the tank, on the outside, by the petcock. It really DOES work to collect crap that you would not normally see or catch.

I will have pics tonight of the POR'd tank, if the stuff is as hard to get out of the tank as it is to get off my skin, it will NEVER come off. It looks like mecury mixed with silver paint, mixed with some kind of epoxy. I got a drop on my thumb as I was cleaning up, scrubbed with orange soap for 15 mins and no go.
