  • Potential FNG to the Kats

    Hello Kat Riders,

My name is Kevin, my handle is "KLR Kevin". Yes, I'm a Kaw fan, possibly migrating to Suzuki. The 650 Ninja and 'Versys' just don't do it for me. Won't buy a chain drive bike w/out any way to mount a center stand. 'Nuff said on that score.

I'm 52 years young, and just plain crazy. A rider since the age of 12, the scars, broken bones & dislocations just a part of the life on two wheels. Another story for the bored, someday....

Been lookin' at some 'new in the crate' '06 Kats, and I really like what I see. I need a light sport tourer back in my life! Have also looked at the Wee Strom - Great bike, but truly fugly, and I just can't get past that premise..... A bike has to grab me by the '*****' in all ways to get my butt in the saddle. You Kat ridin' gals know exactly what I mean, so no offense meant!

I've neglected Suzuki as a contender for many years as 'fugly' weird mounts, but no more. Wish I hadn't been suffering from that stupid mindset, because the Kat is cool, just never noticed it before.

Well, that's all for now, no sense going any further until / unless I join your ranks (maybe tomorrow!)

    KLR Kevin

P.S. I humbly apologize for 'dissin' your mounts in the past! Suzook is makin' some great stuff!

    KLR

Welcome to KatRiders. The Kat's are great all around bikes.
It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.
