honestly bro, you don't want a SS I4 bike - like an R6, gix6, etc... these bikes make 100hp.....at 14,000rpm. your katana 6 has more midrange and low end than these bikes do from 3-k rpms
find a test ride on a sv650 - you will be surprised at the difference in torque from a twin to an I4
you want roll on torque power, find yourself a nice Vtwin - go ride a TLR1K or an SV1K and see what is up
BTW, riding a bike on the interstate is not hard.... I find my 750 katana is very comfortable commuting at 85-100mph all day long. Going 35mph through sections of route 33 in WV near Elkins, with decreasing radius turns full of cinders and coal trucks crossing the center line is hard.
