  • Hello from S.E Alabama

i just puchased a 96 600f. its my first kat,but not my fist bike. got the engine running good, first ride i discovered no 2nd gear,no problem i thouhgt....till my buddy decided to go joyriding while i was at work(never leave your bike at a buddys house and leave the keys) lesson learned. Now, the trans is completely locked up.Can someone help me find a detailed forum/discussion on the rebuild.mainl does the stator/flywheel have to be removed to split the cases?

      Welcome.
If you use the search feature (top right) you should be able to find something. The google site search is better IMHO. The 2nd gear issue is I believe generally caused by bent shift forks, but if your buddy wreaked some havoc on it...probably looking at more than just that.
      Good luck!

Welcome to KR! You maybe better off picking up a motor from Ebay Sounds like you are going to need a lot of hard parts anyway.
