  • Clear Alternatives Integrated LED taillights Review

Ok I jeust got my package of lights from clear alternatives. Here are my initial thoughts. (pics when I get home.)

I open the package thinking crap i am going to have to tear into my rear harness to install this. Well I open the box and guess what.. Not gonna happen. It seems they have changed the wiring on the led board. now instead of having ot wire everything up .. the only thins youhave to "wire up is the turn signals. The main tail/stop light wires have been inserted into a bulb base so that all you ahve to do is remove your bulbs and put the turn signal wires through one side and hook the bulb base up into the socket where the original bulb went. could not be easier. The best part for me is that I have a couple spare turn signal harnesses that I will be able to wire up. I will include pics of the items and pics of the installation when I get home and start on it this week. Need to remember to take my soldering gun home tonight.

    More to come.

    Cheers!
    Z

Ok i love them.. the integrated lights rock.. the lenses are superb. the integrated turnsignals is a two wire hook up. Very easy. the main wires have been placed in a mini bulb that just goes in where a regular bulb would.. then just hook up the turn signal wires. They do supply a couple resistors to make the signal slow down a bit.. else they go pretty fast. I would have taken pics but uhh i was over zealous and put it all in already ..

So is this the one you got?

If it is, I'd be very interested in what they look like when in use. Basically ask the guys riding behind you lol. Are the signals/brake lights clearly visible when in use during the day and at night?

I've been hesitant about integrated signals. Though they look cool and the LED's are really bright, I feel more comfortable knowing the car behind me sees that signal , big and large on either side of the bike. I guess it's my LA Freeway Phobia kicking in.
