  • 1988 Gsx600F KATANA

Ok well I was at the local junk yard picking up some parts for a bike when i spotted a older Katana 600 and for some reason i allways liked this bike , So i got to talking to the owner of the Parts yard and 600 bucks later the non running no clothes wearing 1988 gsxf was mine lol -- OK now i am at home with the bike and YAY it will not run -- it wont even turn over .. HUMMM ok so time to pull the motor .. SO i start the tear down Pull the valve cover only to find the intake cam broke in half and a twisted sproket on that cam ... HUMMM what could cause this -- so i continue the tear to find a valve stuck in the top of a piston -- Some body messed up - contuine down to find no other damage .. well regular wear and tare for a 30,000 mile engine -- Never did figure out what caused the damage But time to rebuild -- So here it is 4 months later this is the standings

Oh man, it sucks to hear about a severely neglected katana but it is awesome what you have done with it!

I also have a basket case 88 that I bought a few years ago as a project bike. So far mine comes no where near looking as good as yours.
