Yes, the red line is different, but I don'tmake a habit of hitting it anyway. About the highest I try to take it is 10. I just go by sound when I'm on it that hard anyway.

Macgyver ... My cowl is a "Suzuki" cowl that was made for the pre-98 600's. I got mine from Special K when I bought the bike from him. You might check with him or Braada Jim to see if they still have one. They had just bought up all of them from Sweden or somewhere when I got mine.
