I am only 5'6" myself with a cowl, but mine is a pre-98 and I think the cowls are lower. I lowered my bike front and rear, plus run a 60 or 50 series tire in the back and now I can flat foot on both feet.

Same issue here with mine, 5'7" i have scuffed mine twice swing the old leg over, not sure how long I will be able to do this before I take the cowl out, but it looks great.

lol im sorry but i may not have a seat cowel but i am 5' 3"!!!!! lol and i have a 750! so im lucky to get both toes on the ground! lol
But hey im proud of my size!!

I had this problem when I installed my cowl.
What I do is stand on the left peg with my left foot and then swing my right leg over.
