  • Removing Oil Filter

Hello all this is my first post. I purchased an '03 Katana 600 and she needs a little work. Too much to get into upfront but my first project is changing the oil and filter. At first glance it looks almost impossible to remove filter w/o removing header pipes. Am I missing something here? It seems like a lot of work for a simple oil change. Also I have an after market pipe as I heard that could affect reaching filter as well. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to KatRiders.
There should be enough room to reach between the header pipes to remove the filter, I change my oil and filter without removing the fairings or exhaust.

With stock headers you can swap filters easily. With aftermarket ones...dunno. Post a pic?
