    Here's a print out of what I recently did on a set of carbs for an early Kat:

    44C10 Mikuni Carbs

    Assembled from clean stripped carcasses
    Cleaned and lubed choke plungers
    Installed brand new rubber boots at fuel tees
    Installed fuel tees and breather tees
    Installed both positioning bars and all screws
    Installed all springs for throttle mechanisms
    Installed brand new Large O-rings at bottom of Air Slide Chambers
    Installed brand new Large O-rings at floats
    Installed brand new Small O-rings at floats
    Installed brand new rubber stopper plugs at pilot jets
    Installed adjustable needles with clips at needles to position # 3
    Installed all correct needle hardware
    Installed pilot jets (32.5)
    Installed brand new bowl gaskets
    Installed brand new 120 Main Jets
    Installed all screws at caps and bowls
    Installed clips top & bottom
    Cleaned out/blew out enricher circuits in floats
    Checked float needles and seats - OK
    Set float heights to 14.6mm
    Set Air/Fuel mix screws to 1.5 turns out from stop
    Checked emulsion tubes for roundness vs. egg shaped – OK
    Checked needles for wear – OK
    Checked air diaphragms for wear or cracks – OK
    Installed rubber vacuum boots and slides
    Installed vacuum slide springs
    Installed brand new small O-rings at air tops for vacuum ports
    Checked choke rods & slide bar for smooth operation–OK (one clip
    missing)
    Two caps missing
    Installed brand new fuel hoses and clips top & bottom
    Installed idle adjuster rod/cable
    Reset butterfly valves (adjusted) by sight – ˝ first hole showing
    Checked air slides for smooth operation and vacuum suck - OK



    This should provide a good check list for several of you.
    I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
    Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
    Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?

      120 mains ? So you jetted it ? And 1.5 out on the pilots ? Stock is 1 5/8 for the 750 , and the 600 were jetted richer weren't they ?

          I think on this bike he had an aftermarket exhaust system. 1.5 to 1.75 is what I normally set most at........2.0 to 2.25 for aftermarket exhaust with K&N air filter.....

          Yes...no matter what exhaust and air filter you run 3 is too much!

            44c10? thats what i have, those stock for a 750 or 600? curious because they came on my 600 , but now there on my 750 and they barely squeeze on the boots
