So my boss dropped of a new toy..
Sure I'm supposed to be checking the power cabinets for shunts
that are causing the contactor to trip.. But what's the first thing
you would do if someone gave you a $6000 Fluke Thermal Imaging camera??

That's right.. Point it at the Kat!!


#1 Headers right after starting (20 secs)

#2 Engine after about 1 min.

#3 Engine after about 2 min..

The headers were actually all exactly the same. The bias seen here is
due to background. I'm amazed how close they were..
In the last pic you can see the piston sleeve!

Would be cool to have one of those to diagnose a missing cylinder, but at that price I don't think so!!

hey...do those come on pocket size....you know, about the size of a gps unit? can they be set to detect different levels of body heat? Do you think you could tell when a woman was....ummm...you know......aroused between the legs.

I only ask because it might eliminate alot of the guess work. $6k might not be a bad investment if so.

i work at a die casting plant,JL Hell err... imean JL French and when i was special one of my jobs was taking thermal pics and videos of the Die faces to make sure they were the right temps we have errr.. had bout 5 or 6 cams but one of the supers dropped one in the belly of the machine and $8000 melted like a 99 cent candy bar we also have heat sig guns too, now them are fun fun, aim the beam at somebody at get they reading after watching them pull at they clothes and look like crack heads.
