Well if you put the bike in 1st and the kickstand is down it will shut off. If you can give more info it would be helpful to know what you are doing wrong

We're pretty much all assuming you don't know about the switch on the kickstand dude.....the one that shuts the bike off, so you don't take off with it down....more input please...

Post in the mechanics section with a full description of what it is doing, and what you have done so far maybe... oh, also include year and engine size...
