I love my Kat but I do want something a little more ridiculous... I'm gettin an r6 towards the end of January but my wife knows you don't mess with the Kat.
Also, this seems like a weird place to start such a thread.... no?95 GSX600F -- GO DUCKS -- 06 R6Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing -Helen Keller---I often post mobile; Keep that in mind when I write like a 5th grader

No doubt, they're great bikes for sure, looks good, and does everything that you could ask of a bike, however they're just average bikes.
BUT.....In a few years from now, when the even newest Kats are getting old, and they're all worn out and parts get scarce, you'll be singing a different tune, and I'll bet from a different bike.
There's so many great bikes out there, it doesn't make sense to me to become so devoted to one particular kind of bike. I am partial to Suzukis in general for what it's worth. But I average 2 years per bike before I get bored and want something different.
Go ahead, gimme hell.....!

Don't worry, you'll grow up eventually.
Oh, and your worry about parts? I can still get parts for my '66 Mustang at Autozone. If something's popular enough (like the Kat) then parts tend to remain available for a good long time.

You'll eventually get sick of 20 year old technology, trust me.90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

Maybe I'll buy a 2011 but it probably won't be until about 2031.
