Procedure I wrote on how to tune carbs: http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=134276

This is a yellow 2001 4400 miles, paid $1600, was told it had "carb issues, wouldn't start"
Got it home and took the air filter housing off, oil and gas started pouring out of the cylinders lol
Drained the "oil", started carb tear down

From my experience, these are DEFINETLY bad o-rings, learned the hard way after many carb teardowns. While I'm in there I'm replacing all of the o-rings while I can. Picture doesn't really do it justice how much it's been flattend out. It's conformed to the brass curved shape underneath it.

Anyone have the harness connector for the taillight they wanna sell? (motorcycle harness-side, not turn signal side)
Previous owner cut the connector and spliced in some stupid scrolling light and just taped all the wires together. Want to restore it Thanks

Wired the clear taillight I had from my first post-kat. Waiting on jet kit, carbon fiber muffler, cnc'd aluminum levers, have new tires but will put those on when I get the wheels/tripple trees powder coated.

Cleaned and rebuilt carbs, synchronized them. Petcock isn't functioning properly, waiting on the rebuild kit to get here for that.
Carbon fiber muffler gets here tomorrow.

Recorded sound clip but carbs were low on fuel and didn't feel like refilling, so it didn't sound right. Will just wait til I get parts to repair gas tank.

Readjusted carbs for the third time. Seems perfect. Clutch was slipping. I adjusted clutch and it seemed perfect but now it's too tight. Will have to get in there again.

$25 CNC aluminum levers. Fixed clutch, going to test it in a bit

                    thanks

Took it for a ride, clutch is perfect now. Here's a sound clip while riding. I'm going to take the baffle out when I'm all done working on it. Far too quiet for my taste

Started painting calipers. Tractor paint ftw. Should have plates/insurance by this friday so I'll start legally riding it finally

Can't tell from this angle, but if you painted over the bleed screw (as opposed to removing it and painting it separately) it might be a bit of a bitch to bleed later. Might want to break it loose if necessary now before the paint totally cures.
