  • Out with the old, in with the New

So my wifes beloved Kat has finally been sold It's given her lots of good times, but it was just getting pretty long in the tooth. Plus, with a baby due in January, it wasn't going to be ridden for the next 6 months or so, plus the remaining months of feb march and maybe april....it was going to sit for a while. I figured it was best to let it go.

However, I just finished painting her "replacement" bike.....Behold!

It used to be Yellow (which I thought was fantastic), but yellow simply wouldn't do for the wife. It had to be pink. Bleh. Too bad, because I REALLY fell in love with this bike. That 650 Vtwin lump is a real gem. it wheelies if you want it to, it gets 45 mpg, and it's geared just about right for highway cruising at 70 mph. Really, it's a great little bike. With full matching race plastics it makes a great track bike too. She's had it on the track one time so far, and had a ball.

Even though it's not A Kat, I thought i'd share. I rode it around a little last night and was reminded of how much I enjoyed the little SV (it was getting dark, so nobody saw me on a pink bike).

PS....the ENTIRE bike is silver, the color is done using candy concentrate pigments in the clear coat. There's also some red pearl particles in the top layer of clear, which is impossible to photograph, but it sure sparkles when the sun hits it!

Looks great but being black/pink would't deter me from riding it at all. All pink maybe

I like the pattern you chose. I was thinking of something similar but with silver over black.
