I wanted to first of all thank all of our members for the OUTSTANDING support KR has received.
As of Monday evening, the new host is lined up and active. I took snapshots of the forum software and data.
Currently I'm testing with the snapshot data on the new hosts' server.
HOPEFULLY, tomorrow evening you'll see the transition take place.
What will happen, is that the forums will be TURNED OFF. You'll get a notice that says "transition in progress"
Now, the new site will be on Vbulletin 4.0, so things WILL look a little different at first and I'm sure we'll have a few growing pains.
After I update the DNS entries, I'll change the "forum off" message with a note of the new IP address which should allow you to contact the site while the change propegates across the DNS trees.
If, at any point there is a problem with the upgrade... you'll see the site come back on line here at the old host.
I EXPECT about 5-6 hours of down time total, starting around 6pm EDT tomorrow.
