My first Motorcycle

Hey everyone
took MSF in august got a new Katana 2 weeks ago. Had some scratches when I bought it. Its an 05 750 with 8500 miles on it. I have put on about 400 miles. I have actually riden one before I had my license a room mate had it, and let me ride it.
I notice during riding that the handle bars are to the right when going straith any ideas . oterwise I am haveing lots of fun for a 55 year old MAn

is the handle bar bracket shifted from the upper tripple tree or a bent bar

Well I ahve been trying to figure that out but the front fender was torn up and the guy brought it out after I forked over the money I bet bent bar. But I dont see anything obviously damaged. by the way thks for the welcome great site.

Welcome to KR!!! I don't know if the post98 bikes bolt up the same as the pre's...Definitely want to check the triple tree and forks for proper alignment...If the bolt up differently you would want to check that your clip-ons (handle bars) are straight...I'm sure someone else will may have a better insight on this matter and fill you in!

well wow
thanks for the welcomes and things to look for. I tightened the chain up I think rear wheel was misaligned. cant wait to check it by riding. what do you guys use for chain lub?
